An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
